8 Day Bhutan Shangri-la Adventure

Day 1Manila – Bangkok.
Day 2Fly to Paro
Coach to Thimpu, capital of Bhutan. Visit convergence point
where stupa of the three religions line alongside each other. Visit the Thimpu Dzong and the Royal Palace. Tour handmade paper factory,
traditional medicine institute and textile useum. (B/L/D)

Day 3 Discover the ancient capital of Punakha. Stop for tea at the Docula Pass while looking at the snow capped Eastern Himalayas. Get blessed by a giant phallus at the Chime Lakhang Fertililty Monastery. Try Chili Cheese Casserole, a Bhutanese delicacy. (B/L/D)

Day 4 Built in the 1600, the Punakha Dzong is built between two rivers. Shop for handicrafts.Visit Wangdue Phodrang, then back to Thimpu. (B/L/D)

Day 5 Proceed to Paro. Visit the Paro Dzong where Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves shot the movie, “Little Monk”. Take great pictures while wearing their national costumes, the “Kira” and the “Goa”. Learn more about their culture and history at the Paro Museum and stroll through Paro Bazaar. Witness an Archery Match- the National Sports of Bhutan. (B/L/D)

Day 6 Trek up the mountains to visit “Tiger’s Nest” an iconic temple considered their most sacred. Enjoy a thrilling 1 hour mountain path by donkey and another hour of hiking to reach this beautiful monastery. Back to Paro in the afternoon. (B/L/D)

Day 7 Paro-Bangkok. Leisure Time (B/L)

Day 8 Bangkok-Manila.
